OEKO-TEX — HARMLESS AND SAFE

ÖKO-TEX® is one of the world's best-known and most established organizations in testing the product safety of possible harmful substances in textiles, leather and other materials.

The ÖKO-TEX® 100 standard is not an "eco-label", but tests that products do not contain chemicals known to be harmful to health.

The testing requirements are stricter the more the product is in contact with the skin.
The brand has the following four categories:

I = products for babies up to three years of age

II = products with significant skin contact (underwear, T-shirts, linen)

III = products with little skin contact (outer clothing)

IV = Furnishing products (curtains, mattresses)

Ökö-Tex 1000 is a broader certificate that also takes into account the environmental friendliness of production methods. The conditions examine, for example, waste water, energy use, noise level and occupational safety.
Harmful dyes and child labor are prohibited. The certificate is valid for three years
